Prototypes

Our shelf for design prototypes and documents. Add an HTML file, get a link.

Prototypes is our own small website shelf. Each item is a folder with an HTML page, and the front page lists them all with search and tags (repo). A prototype is a clickable mock-up or experiment; a document is something to read.

For us: The team uses it a lot to show and share design prototypes and write-ups under one link. Sign in with the studio login (Authentik).

How to

Add a prototype in the browser

  1. Open https://prototypes.origin-infinite.com and sign in with the studio login.
  2. Click + Add and pick an .html or .zip file.
  3. Set the type: Prototype or Document.
  4. Fill in the title and a short blurb.
  5. It goes live within a minute or so, with its own link.

Add a prototype with Git

  1. In the Prototypes repo, create a folder sites/YYYY-MM-DD-slug/.
  2. Put index.html and meta.json in it (meta.json needs a title).
  3. Commit and push to main. The site updates by itself.
